Then I'll give my thoughts on what I think are the top 5 best factions of 40k. I'm going to do something different starting this week and that is that I won't give more explanation per faction. Otherwise it will be the same every week. I will explain the changes but as an extra, I'll write a piece about what changed that week in the Meta. For example, think of an analysis of a new codex or a very cool list, a pro player who has come up with a very good strategy etc. I hope with this article to keep people informed and inform both new and experienced players.

Well, well, well totally different top 5 this week. Chaos Space Marines have been showing mediocre results for two weeks in a row. I think because they have trouble with Necrons, Black Templar and World eaters. These three factions are popular and don't care for a Rhino that is untouchable. The melee power and durability of these armies is also very high. Because Chaos Space Marines are less good, Aeldari automatically becomes better. That's why they keep their second place. Necrons move up to first place! I was at an RTT this weekend and saw a lot of Necrons in action. This faction is so good right now. This is because they can keep objectives very well with Canoptek Wraiths + Technomancer. Then two C'tan with super melee power to demolish everything. The problem is that you need an entire army to kill 1 Necron threat. They have five threats. So that will take you five turns. Even if you kill them at the end of the game, they have scored all the points because they are also very good at holding objectives. World Earthers have increased greatly in popularity. Even the best players in the world choose this faction as the best choice. This is mainly due to the enormous push power that this army has. There are few armies that can stop this and if they do succeed, it will again cost a lot of time and therefore points. The meta is really shifting from playing the mission slowly to if I go first I win strategies.
Space Marines have some really good lists Ultramarines Vanguard with Calgar and Uriel. Black Templar good stuff where you play all the good units of Marines with the best characters of Black Templar, usually High Marshal Helbrecht in combination with a Castellan with Tännhauser's Bones. This weekend's Super Major list looks great too. This is a Black Templar horde list! With two large blobs of Marines with a 5+FNP, it looks a bit like Necrons.
What struck me this week is that we had another Admech player who scored well so maybe there is still hope for this codex. Now we really have to wait for the results of LVO to see what the Meta is at the moment. So read this next week.
