Imperial Fist Space Marine MK6 armor

Like most of the Horus heresy models we start with a black primer base coat.

Vallejo Black Primer

After the black we vreate a zenithal white ink highlight using the airbrush, give the model a bit bigger highlights then normal because we going to use this in the next step.

Liquitex Acryl Ink Titanium White

Spray a thin opaque coat of a pink over the white highlight with your airbrush.

Citadel Screamer Pink

After step 3 we at yet again a thin white ink highlight using the airbrush but keep the darkest shadows pink.

Why use a big undercoat? In the next step were going to spray a yellow contrast paint over the whole model, the previous pink undercoat will tint the yellow contrast paint to a brownish orange.

Citadel Contrast Iyanden Yellow

Black out all the details like the gun, backpack and between then arms and legs.

Citadel Abaddon Black

This time again we’re going to use Agrax shade to give the recesses some extra punch.

Citadel  Agrax Earthshade

Now the fun part weathering. Take a sponge, dap it in some ice yellow wipe the excess of on a paper towel and dap in on the model where then most wear and tire is, legs, knees, shoulders and trims. Use your finest brush with the sharpest tip you got the fill the ice yellow weathering with a tiny bit of Rhinox hide.

Citadel Rhinox Hide

Give the metal parts a coat of a Silver and wash those with a nuln oil.

The final step is to paint the lenses with a reddish, orange and light yellow color.
