<p>I always like to experiment with my model. I tried a new power sword effect. Don't know if the colors are correct but I do like the effect. Next time I would go for orange and blue and not with the blocks but more opposite colors.</p><p>Happy crafting.</p>

Librarian Power Sword 

Base the sword with Mechanicus Standard Grey.

Block in the colors for the green and the red with Caliban Green and Khorne Red.

Make a 1:1 mix with the green and the red and paint the transition between the two colors.


We make a 1:1 mix on our wet pallet with Caliban Green and Warpstone Glow and start painting very wet stips on the center of the green. We do the samen with Mephiston Red on the red.

We first start with painting more transition between the two colors by painting very wet mixed paint back and fort. The I highlighter the center againt this time with Warpstone glow and a 1:1 mix of Mephiston Red and Evil Sunz Scarlet.


Citadel Evil Sunz Scarlet

We keep highlighting the center of the colors with very wet dots. This time with pure Evil Sunz Scarlet and pure Warboss Green.


Citadel Warboss Green

We keep highlighting the center of the colors with very wet dots. This time with Troll Slayer Orange and a 3:1 mix of Warboss Green and Dorn Yellow.


Citadel Troll Slayer Orange

Citadel Dorn Yellow

We keep highlighting the center of the colors with very wet dots. This time with a 1:1 mix of Troll Slayer Orange and Dorn Yellow on the red and a 1:1 mix of Warboss Green and Dorn Yellow on the green.


Highligh the dots with a very tiny very with pure Dorn Yellow.


Highlight the edges of the sword with Dorn Yellow. I think I overdid this step. The highlights should maybe only be on the edge of the tip.
