Ork in yellow armor

Undercoat the model with Mechanicus Standard Grey.

Citadel Waaagh! Flesh

Pain a shade in the deepest parts of the skin with a 1:1 mix of Waaagh! Flesh and Incubi Darkness.

Paint a rough highlight on the skin with Warpstone Glow.

Paint the tongue with Khorne Red. Then paint the lips and ears with Cadian Fleshtone.

Citadel Skarsnik Green

Highlight the skin and the ears and the lips with 1:1 mix of Cadian Fleshtone and Skarsnik Green.


Paint the eyes with Khorn Red and a dot of Wild Rider Orange and a small dot of Yriel Yellow. Paint the teeth with Baneblade Brown, the straps with Karak Stone and shade them with Agrax Earthshade.

Base Coat the armor plates and the swords with Abaddon Black. The hair and the grips with Khorne red. The skull en teeth with karak stone and the hear on the bladed with Rhinox hide. Highlight the straps and the teeth with Karak Stone and Screaming skull.

Base coat the swords with Leadbelcher and the copper with Hashut Copper.

Shade all the part form step 10 with Agrax Earthshade. Highlight the red with Mephiston Red, Evil Sunz Scarlet and Wild Rider red. Highlight the skulls with Karak Stone and Screaming skull.

Highlight the sword woth Runefang steal also paint stripes on the scarp part of the sword en som stiples on the panel of the sword. Drybrush the hair on the sword with Baneblade Brown.

At a dot on the bottom of the nails with Baharroth Blue.

If you haven\`t paint all the panels you want black with Abaddon Black. You want most of the panels to be yellow.


Highlight the armor plates with Incubi Darkness.


Paint a finer highlight with Thunderhawk Blue on the armor plates.

Make a sharp highlight with Russ Grey on 50% of the lines.

Then paint a sharp highlight on 25% of the lines with Fenrisian Grey.

Paint a dot highlight on the sharp corners with Blue Horror.

Side view for the other panels of armor.


Paint all the other armor with Averland Sunset. Make sure the yellow it thinned down with water. The first layer with nog look so good because yellow covers really bad.

Also the second layer should not cover everything.


The trick for good yellow armor is 5/6/7 really thin layers. This my result after 6 times.


Paint a shade in all the edges of the armor with Skrag Brown.

Glaze the bottom of all the panels with a 4:1 mix of water and Skrag Brown.


Paint 80% of the edges with Mournfang Brown and only the deepest parts with Rhinox Hide, about 20%.

Highlight all the edges on the armor Yriel Yellow. I use a very thin paint with lots of water so I create a gradient on each panel.


Highlight all the edges with Flash Gitz Yellow.

Highlight all the top spots of the edges with 1:4 mix of Flash Gitz Yellow and Dorn Yellow.

Basecoat the heads with skin tones any are fine.

Paint the details with Rhinos hide like the teeth and eyes.


I like my bases clean so I cut some details away.


Drybrush the base with, Eshin Grey, Dawnstone and Administratum Grey.

Paint the skulls with Karak Stone and glue some tuft on the base.


Shade the skulls with Agrax Earthshade and highlight them with Karak Stone and Screaming Skull.


Use brown pigment powder all over the base.


Vallejo Paints Pigment European Earth

At some lighter colors of pigment powders to create different tones.


Vallejo Pigment Desert Dust

Vallejo Paints Pigment Dark Yellow Ochre

Ad water plus pigment binder all over the base with a pipette.


Final result of the base and the mini is done!
